“Casa de Egreso” is almost open!
Much progress has been made to open up the new Home for graduates from the Boys’ Farm! Alexis recently finished writing up the manual, plans, and contracts for this new “Casa de Egreso” Home in Robledo, and all of the interviews with the young men were conducted last week. Today Pastor Henry and Alexis (those in charge of the Home) held the first meeting with these graduates from the Farm to discuss the rules and expectations. The desire of this Home is to accompany them in their transition from the Boys’ Farm back into the city, helping them become independent while staying strong in the Lord. In the past, after leaving the Farm and returning to Medellin, many of the boys have fallen away from the Lord and continually struggled, so this Home really is a big need. The boys will be required to pay rent and have jobs, and they will all actively serve in the Foundation’s Robledo Church (which is located at the same site). Today the decision was made to open up the Home on March 1st (next week)! Two of the boys were working this afternoon and couldn’t attend the meeting, but there are five total who plan to move in soon. Please see three of the five below (along with Alexis and Pastor Henry):

Yilmar (17 years old), Daniel (22), and Omar (22), with Alexis and Pastor Henry who are accompanying these young men
